In consideration of the Fun Bun Run accepting my entry in this virtual running event between April 27, 2021 and May 6, 2021
I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to participants in this event, and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, damages or loss, regardless of severity that I and/or my minor child/ward may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with this activity.
I further agree to waive and relinquish all claims I and/or my minor child/ward may have as a result of participating in this activity against the Event and the City where I am running, and their respective sponsors, officials, agents, volunteers, elected officials, past and present board members and employees (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Parties”).
I further agree and acknowledge the following:
· there is no designated start, finish or route for the Event;
· no prizes will be awarded based on results;
· there are no medical services arranged or provided for the Event;
· there are no support services arranged for the Event, including hydration/electrolyte replacement/energy supplements;
· I will participate in the Event based solely on personal preference and capability (pace, cadence, aerobic threshold), and only if physically fit, healthy and sufficiently trained;
· I am responsible for continuously monitoring exertion during the Event, and seeking appropriate medical attention, including by calling EMS if required.
I further agree to do the following while participating in the Event:
· follow government mandated physical distancing practices;
· follow all applicable laws, and generally use safe pedestrian practices when on streets and roadways, including facing traffic where sidewalks do not exist, utilize pathways and sidewalks, cross streets at traffic lights and crosswalks, and refrain from jaywalking;
· carry a cell phone while participating in the Event.
· sufficiently hydrate prior to and while participating in the Event; and
· stop participating in the Event if it becomes dangerous or unsafe to continue.
I do hereby fully release and forever discharge the Parties from any and all claims for injuries, damages or losses that I and/or my minor child/ward may have or which may accrue to me or my minor child/ward arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with this event. I further agree that this agreement shall be governed by the law of the state of which I am running.
No refunds will be issued for any reason.
By participating in this event, the Event has the right to reproduce/use videos and photos taken as well as posting of results from the race on the internet.
I have read and fully understand the above assumption of risk and waiver and release of all claims.
